VETRA FLUX: FORM BECOMING VIBRATION
PROJECT BY LATVIAN MULTIMEDIA ARTIST VALENTINAKI
IN COLLABORATION WITH LATVIAN COMPOSER AND SOUND DESIGNER NIKOLA NEGOROD
CURATED BY MARCO DE CRESCENZO
15.04.2026 - 26.04.2026
VETRA FLUX. FORM BECOMING VIBRATION
Under the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in the Italian Republic.
From April 15th to 26th, the Vetra Building will host VETRA FLUX. FORM BECOMING VIBRATION, an exhibition and research project by Latvian artist Valentinaki, curated by Marco De Crescenzo. Part of the official Milano Art Week program, the initiative transforms the architectural space into a living organism where painting, sculpture, and acoustic frequencies converge to redefine the perception of space.
The exhibition journey unfolds through the Liquid Blue series, a collection of works created by Latvian multimedia artist Valentinaki using Gobbetto resins, where the aquatic element becomes the primary language to investigate the fluidity of matter. Moving from the hall to the outdoors, the experience culminates in a monumental site-specific installation in the Vetra Building square: a sculpture that transcends the visual object to become a "vibrating body."
The heart of the intervention lies in the cutting-edge technology of Glauk Sound, which allows the original soundscape by Latvian musician and composer Nikola Negorod to propagate directly through the surface of the artworks. This synergy transforms the environment into a point of resonance between art and nature, turning the installation into a living organism shaped by research and innovation.
VETRA TALKS | SYNCHRONICITY. The Power of Interdisciplinary and International collaborations.
On April 14th at 4:00 PM, the Vetra Building Conference Room will host the talk "SYNCHRONICITY: The Power of Interdisciplinary and International Synergy." The meeting will explore cross-disciplinary dialogue as a driver for the evolution of contemporary languages, bringing together diverse perspectives—from art collecting to museums, galleries, and technological partners.
The debate will be divided into two panel discussions:
First Session (Italian): A focus on the project's genesis and the integration of art and industry, featuring Valentinaki (Artist), Marco De Crescenzo (Curator), Massimo Vegni (Glauk Sound), Gabriele Gobbetto (Gobbetto), and Egidio Alagia (Divergens).
Second Session (English): An international perspective on the art market and institutions, moderated by Emilija Kieraite, with the participation of Caroline Marie Duque (National Museum of the Philippines), Huizhong “Ines” Song (hui.red), Lorenzo Perini Natali (Art Collector, founder of Progetto Ludovico), and Baris Gencel (New media artist)

Technical Partners:
Gobbetto: Since the 1960s, Gobbetto has been synonymous with innovation and research in the world of resins. From an artisanal laboratory to an international benchmark for architecture and design, the company has transformed an industrial material into a versatile expressive language. In VETRA FLUX, Gobbetto surfaces become the very skin of the artwork, capable of reflecting the fluidity of aquatic movement with incomparable material depth.
Glauk Sound: An Italian excellence in acoustic engineering, Glauk Sound revolutionizes the concept of sound diffusion by transforming surfaces into living audio sources. Thanks to a cutting-edge technology based on the principle of resonance, audio is "emanated" from the matter itself. In Valentinaki’s project, Glauk Sound makes the invisible audible, allowing the sculptures to vibrate and communicate through an immersive sonic experience.
